This policy applies to people who visit the Site, contact us through it or by email, ask about a proof of concept or review, or send us a job application.

It does not cover the data we handle when we build or run software for a client. That data is processed under our agreement with the client, and the client’s own privacy notice applies. If you are a client’s customer or employee and have a question about that data, please ask the client first.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We share personal data only with:

  • Service providers who process it for us under contract, such as our cloud database and infrastructure provider (Google Firebase and Google Cloud), website hosting and delivery, and email and workspace tools. They may use the data only to provide their service to us.
  • Professional advisers, such as lawyers, auditors and insurers, under a duty of confidentiality.
  • Authorities and courts, when the law requires it or when we need to protect rights, safety or security.
  • A successor business, if Robral is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. Your data would stay protected by this policy or a notice to you of any change.
  • Third parties you choose to interact with, for example Clutch, if you switch on Third-party content.

International transfers

Robral is based in India. Our service providers may store or process data in India, the United States, the European Union or other countries where they operate. Indian law allows transfers of personal data outside India except to countries the Government of India restricts by notification.

When we transfer personal data of people in the EEA or the United Kingdom to a country without an adequacy decision, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or the UK equivalent.

How long we keep it

We keep personal data only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, and as the law requires.

DataHow long
Enquiries that do not lead to a projectUp to 24 months after our last contact, then deleted or anonymised.
Enquiries that lead to an engagementFor the life of the engagement, then for as long as the law requires us to keep business, contract and tax records.
Job applicationsUp to 12 months, unless you ask us to remove them sooner or we hire you.
Server logsA limited period set by our hosting provider, typically no more than 90 days.
Browser preferencesOn your own device until you clear them.

You can ask us to delete your data sooner (see section 10).

How we protect it

We use technical and organisational measures that fit the risk, including:

  • Encryption in transit (HTTPS), and encryption at rest by our cloud provider.
  • Access limited to the people who need the data to do their work.
  • A form that can submit an enquiry but cannot read, change or delete anyone else’s.
  • Spam and abuse protection on the Contact form.

No system is completely secure. If a personal data breach affects you, we will tell you and the relevant authorities as the law requires, including the Data Protection Board of India and, for people in the EEA and the United Kingdom, the supervisory authority within 72 hours where required.

Your rights

Whatever country you are in, you can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
  • correct data that is wrong or incomplete;
  • delete your data;
  • stop using your data, or stop relying on your consent (withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it; see section 5 for cookies).

If you are in India

Under the DPDP Act you have the right to obtain a summary of your personal data and how it is processed, to ask for correction and erasure, to have your grievance addressed, and to nominate another person to exercise your rights if you die or become unable to.

If you are in the EEA or the United Kingdom

Under the GDPR and UK GDPR you also have the right to restrict our processing, to receive your data in a portable format, to object to processing based on our legitimate interests, and not to be subject to decisions based solely on automated processing. You can complain to your local supervisory authority, for example the Information Commissioner’s Office in the United Kingdom.

If you are in California

Under the CCPA as amended by the CPRA you can ask what personal information we collect, use and disclose, and ask us to delete or correct it. Over the last 12 months we have collected identifiers, professional information and internet activity data through the Site. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of. We will not treat you differently for using your rights. An authorised agent may make a request for you.

How to use your rights

Email info@robraltechnologies.com with your request. We may ask you to confirm who you are before we act. We will reply within 30 days, or tell you why we need longer where the law allows, and we do not charge a fee unless a request is clearly unfounded or excessive.

Children

The Site is for businesses and is not aimed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, email info@robraltechnologies.com and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We update this policy when our practices or the law change, for example if we add analytics or a newsletter. The “Last updated” date and version at the top of this page show the latest change. If a change is material, we will say so clearly on the Site before it takes effect. Earlier versions are available on request.
